Villarreal are set to complete the sale of Filip Jorgensen to Chelsea, and the Danish goalkeeper will not be the only player to swap Vila-Real for the Premier League. Ben Brereton Diaz is also expected to make a move in the coming days.
Brereton Diaz joined Villarreal last summer as a free agent, but he has struggled to establish himself at the Ceramica. He was loaned to Sheffield United in January, and he impressed, which led to a return to the Premier League being possible.
According to MD, Southampton have reached a deal to sign Brereton Diaz for €8 million. The Chilean forward is expected to make the move very soon.
Villarreal are believed to be earning in the region of €25m from Jorgensen, and now, added to that, they will make a profit of €33m in the coming days. That is a good chunk of money that could be used to improve Marcelino Garcia Toral’s squad for next season.
