A road in Edinburgh city centre has been blocked after a pedestrian was hit by a bus.
Emergency services were called to Shandwick Place at around 2.40pm on Friday.
A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus. His current condition is unknown.
The road was closed in both directions following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 2.40pm on Friday 23 August 2024, we were called to a report of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Shandwick Place, Edinburgh.
“Emergency services were called and the pedestrian was taken to hospital.
“The road is closed and investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
